Cantaloupe Canyon is a large canyon on Never Land featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. As the name suggest the canyon is known for its giant cantaloupes.
Role in the series[]
Cantaloupe Canyon firsts appeared in the episode "Treasure Show and Tell!", it is Treasure Show and Tell Day. Everybody aboard the Jolly Roger has a treasure to show and tell except Captain Hook, who has been discouraged of the whole ordeal. Mr. Smee couldn't bear seeing his captain like this and decided to ask Jake and his crew for assistance to cheer Hook up. Jake and his crew suggest a treasure hunt with a very simple map would be the key to restore a smile on Hook's face. With the treasure hidden Cantaloupe Canyon on Never Land, Smee informs Captain Hook of the news of treasure and encouraged him to set out to find it. After enduring trials do to Captain Hook tend to stray off the path.Captain Hook and his crew finally reach Cantaloupe Canyon and walk down the path of the canyon to the X at the center. But Hook wants a faster way by swinging down on the various jungle vines. Smee pleaded with Hook not to stay off the path but Hook refused to lesson and order his first mate to follow, but the combined weight four pirates force the vine to snap sending the bumbling pirates plummeting into the canyon below. Jake and his crew soon arrive to check on Hook's progress, only to witness the captain and his crew in trouble, quickly Jake used some of the giant cantaloupes to soften Hook and his crew landing allowing them to safely claim the treasure at last.
