Mire Pit is a massive mud pit located deep within the Never Land Jungle featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
Role in the series[]
Mire Pit first appears in the episode "Captain Jake's Pirate Power Crew!", as Captain Hook and his crew search through the Never Land jungle for Zebra Bananas for Hook's favorite dish, Zebra Bananas and codfish pie. During the search for Zebra Bananas, they find a lone tree within Mire Pit. Hook was overjoyed, as he imagined his favorite dish, but this is short-lived as one of King Zongo's monkey minions, Bing-Bong, manages to swoop down and swipe the bundle of Zebra Bananas from the pirate crew. When Hook and his crew finally catch up, they discover that Zongo has them all, much to Hook's disappointment, causing the bumbling crew to fall into the mud of Mire Pit. Jake and his crew soon arrive at Mire Pit after thwarting King Zongo and his minions with their new powers from the Pirate Power Bandanas they received from Peter Pan. When they hear Hook and his crew's cries for help coming from Mire Pit, Jake and his crew come to Hook's aid, but they are soon distracted by King Zongo, who has uncovered Skully's missing Power Bandana of super strength, stealing the Zebra Bananas once more. After Jake and his crew reclaim both the Power Bandana and the Zebra Bananas after defeating King Zongo once more, they were about to return to Mire Pit to finally help Hook and his crew out. But it was soon revealed that Hook and his crew managed to free themselves from the muck by fleeing from Tick-Tock the Crocodile, who later purses the villainous pirates all the way back to the beach.
